Non-fungible tokens (NFTs)

I originally created this series of 70 unique digital artworks was for a deck of oracle or message cards on behalf of the author Dr. Stephen Farmer and published by Animal Dreaming Publishing (ADP) in Australia.

 

They were largely created from many layered images using a variety of image manipulation techniques such as solarisation and neural style transfer imaging, etc. The deck of cards is now completely sold out and out of print with the author focusing more on animal totems and spirit guides rather than Shamanic rites.

 

As such, I am now offering these images as powerful digital talismans in their own right supporting the needs of different owners over time  in accordance with their personal needs. They are being offered for sale as individual NFT's (non-fungible tokens) in the evolving crypto market. As such, they can be explored and purchased through my page at https://www.crypto.com/... with the proceeds being used to fund the creation of my first major audio-play and animated poetry film titled LIFE STORY. LIFE STORY is based on the true story of events in my life that led me into a deep spiritual journey or vision quest that has been the central thrust of my creative and spiritual work ever since. What are NFT's?

Non-fungible tokens of course!

Oh! yeah ... um ... obviously!

From Wikipedia: A non-fungible token (NFT) is a unit of data stored on a digital ledger (called a blockchain) that certifies any digital file to be unique. NFTs function like cryptographic tokens, but unlike cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, are not mutually interchangeable, in other words, not fungible.

 

NFTs are created when blockchains string records of cryptographic 'hash', a set of characters that verifies a set of data to be unique, onto previous records therefore creating a chain of identifiable data blocks, (i.e. a blockchain). This cryptographic transaction process ensures the authentication of each digital file by providing a digital signature that is used to track NFT ownership. However, data links that point to details like where the art is stored can die.

 

Ownership of an NFT does not inherently grant copyright to whatever digital asset the token represents. While someone may sell an NFT representing their work, the buyer will not necessarily receive copyright privileges when ownership of the NFT is changed and so the original owner is allowed to create more NFTs of the same work. In that sense, an NFT is merely a proof of ownership that is separate from a copyright.
