Bridhe, Maiden of Spring

Bridhe, Maiden of Spring

$360.00Price

The Celtic Goddess Bridhe is commonly referred to as the 'Spring Maiden' and equates with Brigid, Brighid, Bride, Brigette, and Brigit. She is the maiden aspect of the 'Triple Goddess' in Anglo-Celtic mythology and is associated with the element fire, poetry, healing, and smithcraft. Her name interprets as 'exalted one'. The name Bridhe is the origin of the word 'bride' and the traditional white wedding outfit and flowers, etc, are all aspects of the Spring Maiden. However, due to the connection as part of the Triple Goddess, she is also regarded as a 'Mother Goddess', being the transition from maidenhood to motherhood that comes with the commitment to marriage.

In LIFE STORY, Bridhe became my mental companion and healer/teacher during my childhood and adolescent years and presented herself in many of the stories that entered my head while playing with the 'lights' in the woods. In esoteric terms, she was my first 'spirit guide'.
