Cernunnos & The Goddess
$360.00Price
This beautiful image represents the union of Cernunnos, Lord of the Animals (also called the Stag King or the Horned God) embracing Danu, the Goddess of the Wood as her divine consort. It is their divine union that is said to govern the evolution of all living things on Earth. Their union is also called the 'Great Rite' in the 'auld waes' and in past times was re-enacted by young men and women running into the forest together at the Rites of Beltane and Midsummer. The full Summer Rites commenced at the Spring Equinox (Ostara/Eostre) through Beltane (transition from Spring to Summer) to the Summer Solstice (Midsummer/Litha).
